The most exciting part of my trip was when I got to meet Buckster Bear! My very good friend from Twitter (@BucksterBear on Twitter).

The next day we got up and went to the Cartoon Art Museum.

At the Cartoon Art Museum, we saw Buckster AGAIN!!

Then we went to the Walt Disney Family Museum!

The Walt Disney Family Museum is a HUGE museum that focuses on the life, family and work of Mr. Walt Disney!  We couldn't take a lot of pictures there, though.

Then we saw the Golden Gate Bridge!

And we went to the Palace of Fine Arts:

It was a very, very fun trip!!

Pink Bunny goes to PIXAR!

We went to Pixar Studios last weekend!!

Me and my Humans had such a great time. We went for a benefit for the Cartoon Art Museum.

We got up early and went to breakfast at Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe.

So you are ALL named Rudy?

Then we went to PIXAR! First, I got to meet the Lamp Luxo, from the Pixar logo:

I am on the ball! Hee!

Then we got to walk around and meet some of the famous Pixar stars, like Woody and Buzz!

And Mike and Sully from Monsters, Inc.!

I'm safe in here, right?

There were lots of things to look at.  Art and exhibits:

Upstairs there were more exhibits, but photography was not allowed.  You can see the Incredibles in the distance, though.

Pixar Lobby

My Humans got to take a drawing class with Pixar artist Adam Burke, and look at storyboards and concept art from various Pixar films.  Then there was a screening of some Pixar short films, like "Dug's Day Out" and "Night and Day" along with a Q&A with the creators.  There was an art auction too!

Afterwards, we went for ice cream at Fenton's creamery in Oakland.  That's where Carl and Russell have ice cream at the end of "UP."

The Snugs of Dublin! (Ireland, Part 2)

We don't have those here in the US.  Our Girl was obsessed with visiting all the pub snugs she could find.  (The proximity to alcohol, she claims, is just a coincidence).

SNUG #1: THE PALACE BAR
Probably our favorite.  Very private and the smallest of all the snugs, so it truly was snug.

 

SNUG #2: TONER'S

A classic snug.  Had a lot of light and cute knicknacks, which was nice.  Poet William Butler Yeats used to drink here.

SNUG #3: KEHOE'S

This was probably the largest snug we visited. Could probably seat 10 people.

 

SNUG #4: THE HAIRY LEMON

Note: I did not see a lemon, hairy or otherwise.  This place was less traditionally pub-y and more like a sportsbar.  The snug had a huge bay window, which really cut down on the privacy factor, but it was a nice snug.

SNUG #5: DOHENY & NESBITT

This place has four snugs.  So your chances of getting one are quadrupled, which is nice.  They aren't the most private of snugs, and it was pretty large, but we liked it.

 

SNUG #6: RYAN'S PARKGATE

Two lovely snugs. Ryan's has a lovely skylight, so I'm sure it's nice and sunny when the weather isn't inclement.  This one was medium sized and quite private.

 



So that was our tour of Dublin snugs! They were really fun to seek out, very cozy (snug!) once inside and it made the pub crawl special.  #SnugCrawl2011

ERIN GO BRAGH!

I went to Ireland for vacation with my Humans!  We hadn't been to Europe since our Germany trip in 2007, and we hadn't taken a proper vacation since Hawaii in 2010.  So we were due, and we jetted across the ocean for a magical trip to the Emerald Isle!

But first, we stopped at the Philadelphia Airport and saw the Liberty Bell.

 At my good friend Olly's suggestion, I tried some Battenberg cayks:

One day, we drove out of Dublin to Shannon/Limerick to see Bunratty Castle:

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park also has historical buildings that are recreated.  We liked touring them.

 We had a great time in Ireland! I hope we go back one day.
